STATS
In roleplay, we will gauge one's capabilities via Stats. It will guide us on what we can do within character, and will effect how our battles may play out with others. In order for us to roleplay as well, we must also first decide how we may want to arrange our Stats for the first time. It is here where we will carefully break down what each Stat does, and what may be capable of changing our Stats, other than the Stat Points you can earn of course! In the charts below, we will learn about each one, and what they are responsible for.
(Please note that SP is proportional to PL; 20K PL translates to 20SP)
__________
Strength | It is responsible for calculating the force and damage you exert over targets physically. If you have a high enough Strength, you may even be capable to overpower your foes within clashes. If your Strength tier is above that of your foe's, then your techniques will win over theirs during a direct clash.
It does not matter whether or not the said technique you direct clash with may be Ki or Strength based, but your Strength must be higher than either of those Stats to win. If it is Ki, then your Strength base technique must be higher than your foe's Ki. If your Strength is two tiers higher than a foe with a tier higher of Speed than you, you may null out their interrupt (example; grabbing their kick or punch midair, or deflecting their ki).
In terms of calculating damage, your character will deal half their Strength for damage when performing a physical technique. If you are performing a Deluxe technique though, the technique will deal damage proportional to your full Strength. If you enjoy being the brawns, then this will be the the Stat that you may wish to put your SP towards.
__________
Ki | It is a crucial Stat for those desiring to expel their energy, which we refer to as one's Ki. It can be manipulated and controlled as a tangible force by the user, granted they have learned to do so properly. If your Ki tier is above that of your foe's, then your techniques will win over theirs during a direct clash.
It does not matter whether or not the said technique you direct clash with may be Ki or Strength based, but your Ki must be higher than either of those Stats to win. If it is Strength, then your Ki base technique must be higher than your foe's Strength.
In terms of calculating damage, your character will deal half their Ki for damage when performing an energy technique. If you are performing a Deluxe technique though, the technique will deal damage proportional to your full Ki. If you prefer trying to distance yourself, and firing blasts at your foes, this will be the Stat you may wish to focus on.
__________
Agility | In order to outpace others, and perform techniques quicker, this will be what we will require. If your Agility exceeds your foe's by one tier, then you may try to dodge your foe's techniques, mitigating damage by half of what you would have received. (requires 1 SP)
If your Agility exceeds your foe by a single tier, then during clashes with them once per 2 turns (if exceeds by two tiers, becomes once per turn), you may roll dice to interrupt (Agility Check) your foe with a technique that can reasonably do so. If you roll over 10 for d20, your hit lands and you may interrupt. (requires 1 SP) An interrupt will cancel the technique of your foe while landing your hit without you needing to roll for clash checks for Strength or even Ki.
If the character would like to escape a thread, they may attempt an escape once per thread which requires the use of an (Agility Check), needing over 10 for d20, plus the Agility of the character must be one tier higher than their opponent(s). If you ever hope to evade or react faster than your foes, then you will need this very critical Stat, because this helps you do exactly that.
EXHAUST STATS
Stamina | It is highly necessary to have the endurance to perform physical techniques, otherwise, you will be unable to execute them. Stamina is the partner of Strength. If you do not have enough Stamina, how will you exert your Strength over your foes? Spoiler alert, you can't. Stamina will be a valuable Stat for those who wish to utilize their Strength effectively and freely. However, this Stat does not function like a normal Stat, rather, this Stat is called an Exhaust Stat. It is rare to be able to restore Stamina, without the use of food, or a Senzu Bean with you. Once per tier up, you are granted a certain number of what we refer to as "E-SP" to put towards either your Stamina or your Ki Pot.
E-Tier: 10 E-SP |
D-Tier: 15 E-SP |
C-Tier: 20 E-SP |
Ki Pot | If you hope to harness your Ki, then you must be able to hold said Ki. It is critical to have the energy you wish expel, else how will you expel said energy? It is a highly valuable Stat to spend E-SP on for Ki users and even for those non Ki users that just pummel on their foes with their fists, as your forms may rely on this for fuel to run. However, this Stat may be restored by up to 10 points by charging one's ki, and this may be done by the user once per three posts, but the user must take an action IC to charge up. If the user is interrupted during the charge, they may react, but will only recover 5 points rather than 10, and may not use with a Deluxe technique within the post they react to the interruption.
GENERAL COMBAT RULES
- If within a thread with another player or DM, may not edit posts once they have been published unless approved by every member, or by the DM.
- If your foe does not post within 48 hours, and they had to react to your technique, you may assume autohit. However, exceptions may be lifted during NPC DM fights, please consult the DM about the rules beforehand.
- If you use a Senzu Bean once, you have one last Senzu Bean to consume, but this last Senzu Bean may only restore a defeated player to half health (If an odd number, round down). It must be administered by an ally player, and not the defeated player. It will only end the countdown timer for death.
- If a character is on ten percent of their HP, a countdown timer will begin for their death where they will die within 3 posts unless they are healed above ten percent of their HP. In order for the countdown to begin, the opponent must put a claim for the countdown within a post where they point out them being below 10 percent. If the thread is non-DE, then the character will only be knocked out.
- In threads that are not counted Death Enabled, you may not under any circumstances kill a character of a player unless you are granted permission to do so. Likewise though, players can choose to kill off their own characters during their own plot or story as to their discretion.
- If either a Strength or Ki Deluxe technique which causes a character to lose HP lands for full damage, then the victim of said DX technique will have the Style of their character broken for two posts before being restored.
- Our ranges for Stat Tiers (not PL Tiers) are as follows:
0-10 for E-Tier
-
11-25 for D-Tier
-
26-50 for C-Tier
STYLES
In combat, we will don Styles, our own unique methods of fighting which will diversify our characters by earning them a particular Trait for donning a certain type of Style. However, do note that we will also receive a base stat gain when we don our unique Styles, a base Stat gain which we will decide on our own with the extra Stat Points we are granted for our Tier. It requires an action to activate. In terms of the base Stat gain- I list them below, divided by the Tier:
Note: You must allocate the SP granted by a Style upon creation.
E-Tier: 5 |
D-Tier: 10 |
C-Tier: 20 |
Once you have decided how you will allocate the SP, then we will start typing up the template for your Style, and the Trait from our Style Trait list which will follow:
Style Name: (How do we refer to this Style)
Trait Attached: (Please name or spoiler the Trait here)
Stat Allocation: (How will you allocate the Style Stats you receive for your tier?)
Description: (Please describe how the Style looks. It can be anything from wild uncoordinated strikes, to karate, or a boxing stance. I advise ensuring this matches up and makes sense with whichever Trait and Stat build you choose for your Style.)
Note: It is not necessary to choose a Trait upon creation. If you would prefer to wait, then you may choose a Trait later whenever. Likewise, you may create your own Trait, rather than choosing from the basic list. If so, then upon creation you do not choose a Trait, opting to make or choose one later.
