It was not the first time that Zero found himself in this situation. This was the first time however he was following up on another Officer's actions and helping secure their foothold on Planet. This planet was said to go for a lot of Zenni. A top tier planet that could change the future for the Planetary Trade Organization. This was a high-priority mission and had Zero coming straight from the home world for his species and the PTO. While Zero's control of ships entered Earth's space Zero looked down from the command bridge and set his eyes upon the jewel that is Earth. He could now understand the rush orders to get here. "Prepare the shuttle. I will be going down to meet with the current command unit on site. I leave the ships in your command Lt. Mac. " With that order, Zero turned away from the view screen and walked down the corridor until he got to the turbo lift. He took it down to the shuttle bay where his personal ship was kept. Walking into the hangar bay he was greeted by a deck officer, a salute was raised as he greeted Commander Zero. "Sir, your shuttle is fueled and prepped for your departure. Zero returned the salute and then started walking towards his ship. "Good work ensign, take your leave before I take off."
Taking his piloting chair Zero flipped a few switches on the board and started the engines. When all the readings on his screen came back good, he took hold of the sticks and slowly pulled back on them as steam hisses out from the landing gear as they retracted and the ship slowly lifted from the ground facing the bay doors. When they fully opened Zero pushed the sticks forward telling the ship to pass through them. "Command bridge, this is Shuttle Crimson Razor taking off. " the radio crackled after he set his message. The command bridge responded almost instantly. "Roger Crimson Razor, safe flying Commander. With the departing process done Zero flipped on the last ship that allowed the shuttle to take full access to the engines. Gripped the throttle Zero and pushed it forward pushing the shuttle forward at an increased speed. Zero Angled the ship towards the planet and the coordinates provided by the Commander on the station The flight went well and quickly as he entered the atmosphere of Earth and flew down to the Green East section of Earth.
After giving his ship's clearance code, he was given access to land at the makeshift landing pads they had set up. While Earth had airports their landing ships were not set up for PTO ships and shuttles. After landing, Zero exited his ship and was greeted on the landing pads by a field officer with a data ad with an update on the current standing of their controlled area, and a summary of the planet and its inhabitants. He had already read the briefing on the takeover here. He was led into a building they had taken and was acting as their command center. Zero was given a tour of where his chambers were while on station and where the command room was. He was told there was going to be a meeting in a few hours where they would be going over future plans to spread their control over the Planet.

It had been a long day for Wakuchin, he had ended up in an interrogation room on some kind of military installment. It wasn't his fault the day had started pretty typical, he had been looking for a job while exploring the nearby city. He had been used more for muscle than anything else, Wakuchin needed to expand his image. If he wasn't careful he'd be known for security before long, which would make his dream of a merchant empire even harder. He couldn't afford to do a rebranding campaign, he'd have to just work on getting a job more in his future industry.
That's how he ended up in a no-name city in the Green East. He should have realized that something was off from how distant all the villagers were being to him. Then there were the guards calling him a namekian freak. He was too busy explaining his other problem to even broach that subject. Sure they both had similarities, but there were no purple namekians as far as he knew. That's how he knew that he was a demon, not some alien species. For at least an hour that day Wakuchin would ponder on what he considered alien since he was from a different realm, and what constituted a good colloquial definition of alien. None of that mattered at the moment there was something called a "curfew" in place, but he didn't know the meaning of the word. When he had told that to one of the military cop dudes, they thought he was being a comedian. He knew that word, and he assured them thoroughly that he wasn't joking. Somehow they still perceived that as a joke, realizing there was nothing he could say he clammed up and went along with them to this room. From the way the men were talking while escorting him, it'd be a while before someone important a V.I.P. they called him was on base.
Wakuchin could just break free and escape to the demon realm, but he was curious now. He had to find out what a V.I.P. was and why they were so important. That sounded like someone who could be one of his first merchant contacts. The words of his former teacher echoed in his head about networking and its importance. On the bright side, the interrogation room itself was pristine. There was no sign of dirt or dust, or anything besides the chair and the mirror on the east wall and the door leading out to the west. It would work perfectly as a meditation room, that had been something Wakuchin had been practicing for years to learn. If he did ever decide to become a demon magician it'd be important.
After a couple of minutes, Wakuchin could focus, and the silence helped. It had been so long since Wakuchin had truly been alone, with the cheap living he could always hear his floormates. Sometimes he'd even be in a building called a hostel. It reminded him that once he was more established he could have a manor in the demon realm. Then no matter what planet he was on he'd be able to sleep easily. That could be one of his selling points to a paranoid man. He thought about possible scenarios with the V.I.P. wondering what kind of man had someone arrested for looking like a species. Was it possible that they were warring against each other? That would make his case harder if there was some kind of speciesism at play.

Zero finished his tour within minutes. He was not really in the need of such things at this time. He could explore on his own. That is when he felt it, something watching him. He turned around and swayed his head back in forth in a scanning motion as he narrowed his eyes. Nothing seemed out of place. Well perhaps it was just the feeling of the new planet. He doubted this very much but it was possible. Zero still had hours to burn and so he decided to lay the ground work. Existing the structure the changeling found himself outside. Bending at the ankles he bounced a bit on his toes to get a feel for the gravity here. It was VERY light compared to his homeworld. With a another bend in his knees he pushed off the ground and rocketed into the air watching the ground leave his vision as he did so. He had jumped so high he could only see the base as a small blotch, though he noticed this world had an ample amount of water. Perhaps they could clan it and sell it off if the planet did not sell.
Now it was time to see where his hiding friend was or if he was indeed feeling the stress of the new mission. He did not like being on the ground, he was a space officer. He was so confused why he had been assigned to come down here. Reaching under his cape he pulled out a black box and opened it, inside it were stem sticks, the Changeling version of Earth Cigarettes. These did not produce smoke, but one would simply chew on them to release the stimulants from inside. As he body finally started to fall back towards the Earth Zero felt the wind brush against his bio armor. With the first bits of the stimulant entering his body he closed his eyes as started to relax.

| I AM A DEMON NO REFUNDS
Time to Meet

As he meditated he heard the voice of his original teacher. Telling him that he was not old enough to truly understand or navigate the world on his own; that he needed a guiding light, some kind of instructor or master, that a man wise as that wouldn't be in such a hospitable climate. To look for the real men of a planet, you had to go where no one else wanted to be. That's where they imprisoned or punished themselves with their ideas of grandeur. That's where he would need to seek out his newest master.
"Woah look at our...."
A cacophony of sound would bombard him as he heard members of the PTO gathering at what he guessed was a window outside his interrogation. Almost as if awakening from a dream of Wakuchin would take this as an omen as he refocused on the reality around him. How long had he been zoned out in his mediation? Was it a sign of his magic that was latent being activated? He wasn't entirely too sure, that was another teacher he'd need someone to help him learn magic. It was regrettable he was a demon, otherwise, he could just ask another, but so far every time he asked they all thought it was some kind of trick.
After a couple of minutes, Wakuchin would hear the guards leave the vicinity of the room. Taken away by some higher-ranked individual who wanted them to spot clean for the V.I.P. After waiting a couple of minutes Wakuchin would stand up break out of his handcuffs and walk up to his door. Then he'd force it open walking out to an empty hallway. Most of the office was empty besides one woman who looked at Wakuchin oddly. Good thing he had discarded his handcuffs in the interrogation room. He'd walk up and casually grab his sword from one of the desks it was sitting at. Taking a moment to look around he spotted a badge that would identify him as an officer, he'd grab that as well. Then he'd walk up to the woman, asking her where the V.I.P. was at the moment.
In a couple of minutes, Wakuchin was walking out toward the front of the base. There weren't many people outside, so Wakuchin knew he had to be getting close, just a sole officer who was looking up towards the sky. No doubt Wakuchin would be visible to Zero who was up in the clouds as he walked outside. |
